These drills are ideal for training your groups and squads. Allowing players to work and train co-operatively as a team.
Double Volley: Groundstroke player has to hit twice to the volleyer in one service box. The volleyer moves to the other service box and we keep the ball alive as long as possible.
Up & Back: One player controls the groundstrokes from one end and switches the strokes side to side. The two players alternately rally the ball, move forward and make a split step around the service line. Then move back and repeat.
3 way: One player on the baseline, 2 players the other end.1 on the service line, the other on the baseline. The single player must keep the ball alive alternately rallying to the baseliner and the volleyer. Start with 3 minutes timed and build up to 5 minutes.
Squad Volley: Squad form 2 lines around the service lines, and alternately move across to voley around the centre line. Moving to the other line of players afterwards. Practising forehand and backhand volleys alternately. Coach feeds half volley from the baseline
Multi Forehand: Squad line up near the backhand alley. Coach feeds 3 balls with players moving across and hitting forehand drives on the move. When the first players 2nd ball is fed, the next players 1st ball is fed and ultimately 3 players are practicing at once.
